The ultrasound machines of the past are sweating bullets… they cost $250,000 and are huge. GE is changing things up with their VScan portable ultrasound machine.
The devices goal (outside of the obvious… to make $$$) is to make ultrasounds cheaper and easier. The doctor shouldn’t need to make such a big deal out of an ultrasound any more… soon they may be as simple as taking your temperature.
